Late yesterday afternoon (March 31, 2006) the US Geological Survey in conjunction with NOAA issued a ban on all importations of a widely collected coral commonly called Zoanthids (pronounced zo-an-thids). Citing these coral's ability to to produce toxins for which no cure or remedy can be manufactured. Considerations of how to gather specimens currently in the possession of aquariums and hobbyists are now being formulated.
