It’s not a problem with viscosity, it’s a matter of friction modifier
additives. I assume those older setups don’t suffer from the Chrsyler
tranny’s heat-building “double-clutching” problem between ratios like in
the RE. If not, you will be going through friction material with that
particular ATF formula.
